Wendy Irving

I am a Woven Textile Artist based in Surrey. My work examines how cloth can be used as a metaphor for a host of conceptual ideas found in the everyday. Narratives are woven and embedded into the fabric, with the hope that it will be the catalyst for a conversation around difficult or provocative themes.

My work also explores and provides some evidence for the way that creative practice together with critical thinking can serve as a vehicle for self-discovery, development, and healing.
